Know The Bible - Here’s why
May 14, 2024
There are 66 books in the Bible, 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament. Know those books here’s why…
The other day I heard a Priest address an audience and he said something about the Holy Spirit that is just not true. The Priest had stated that when a person sins the Holy Spirit leaves the person. Know where in the Bible does it say that and because it does not, what he said is FALSE.
The Bible does say:
“Do not grieve the Holy Spirit, (with sin) with whom you were "sealed" for the day of redemption.” (Ephesians 4:30)
Sin does not cause the Holy Spirit to leave but will grieve the Holy Spirit. If you are a born-again believer then you are “sealed” in Christ.
Biblical leaders state that if you grieve the Holy Spirit enough - God will hand the believer over to Satan, for it is best to die an early death in the flesh to preserve the soul. Why? “Because only God has the power to kill the soul.” See (Matthew 10:28)
Regarding sin, if a person claims to be a believer yet demonstrates no change, or spiritual growth (fruits of the Spirit) then it’s safe to believe that the person was never baptized in the Spirit at all. For there is no doubt that Christian apostasy is on the rise, and Christians must know their Bible to thwart deception.
However, one thing is true looking at Jesus - for when Jesus showed up people, and lives, changed. So does it continue today through the Holy Spirit - lives, and people, still continue to change. Once that change happens the believer is sealed in Christ. The Holy Spirit will then never leave them.
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth.”…. (John 14:16-17)
Thank you, Jesus!
